ABOUT US
The Cable Television Advisory Committee's primary function is to:
- Help negotiate cable licensing agreement with the Town,
- Help provide/oversee programming for school (education access) and town government, and
- Oversee/manage budget (from cable provider) and oversee Public Access Studio.
Any and all programing is done by volunteers except for videotaping of School Committee Meetings which is done by a paid student of the Berkley Middle School.
The current (and only) cable service provider is (COMCAST) whose license expires in June 2010.
PEG ACCESS CHANNEL 9 is shared by Berkley and Dighton. Berkley owns 46.5% of the Public Access Equipment.
The Community Bulletin Board is an electronic "CHARACTER GENERATOR" which can accomodate JPEG images and flash animation.
